My life includes 25+ years of experience in communications from website development to new media to teaching communications to video production to radio and newspaper to sports information to crisis management. I want to help organizations learn to be their own center of communications--learn to be your own media!
I'm a graduate of Montana State University in English and earned a graduate degree from Eastern Washington University in Athletic Administration. My graduate work in crisis management was published in the NCAA News, and I have also written for the NCAA News on reputation recovery as well. Speaking is a big part of who I am and I have presented at the national NAIA convention on reputation recovery and at national CoSIDA conventions on crisis communications and social media. Being a former teacher, I love to present. Got anything you need a speaker for? See my tab on speaking and topics I can cover.
After tragic incidents at Montana State University, I engineered a reputation recovery program with a team of staff that was heralded by Athletic Management magazine.
I've been blogging about two years and have loved to write ever since I can remember. This blog is a little bit of a departure from my sports information blog, but my heart's desire is to help people that help people. I live in beautiful Bozeman, Montana and my husband is a dry land grain farmer who loves to play the guitar. We have two wonderful daughters--our oldest is a fiction writer and our youngest is a psychologist (what a combo, huh?). I can't think of anything more rewarding in life than helping organizations that are helping people learn how to do this media thing well. Get in touch with me. Let's talk.
