I will be doing a session on the Digital Summit Day at the CoSIDA convention on Wednesday during the 11-1 p.m. session and I'd like your input. I will be presenting on how to put together a social media policy--kinda based on a series of blogs I did a while back.
I'd like to design the session around information that people need--not necessarily info I want to present. If you have any questions or comments you'd like addressed, would you leave them in the comments here? I want to make this session as helpful as it can be. I will be bringing copies of our social media policy for everyone.
Thanks ahead for helping me out! See you in San Fran.

Chris, At a small school like Greensboro College, the policy is been whatever I've chosen to do.
ICS web sites let you send out tweets when you post a story. I LOVE this feature.
I supplement this sometimes to promote games or webcasts. I've done some in-game tweeting, but due to staffing, likely not to be done very much.
Looking forward to seeing your policies as things can change in a heartbeat.
I've just started a Facebook page, too, and hope to automatically send updates there.
Thanks Bob--I know sometimes there is a bit of a discrepancy between larger and smaller schools on this kind of thing. Larger schools have a ton of people using social media to represent the department. As the new media person in our dept., I just wanted to get a handle on it before I had a fire to put out. We have a lot of coaches on social media and (technically in the eyes of the school), those accounts do not belong to them, they belong to the school because they represent the school. It took me a long time to get the policy past our school lawyer. She had a lot of input.
